What is “mentoring”?
Mentoring is generally understood as a sustained relationship between a mentor and a mentee.
In this relationship, a more experienced individual (mentor) supports the academic and/or professional development of a less experienced one (mentee) through listening, reflection, counseling, and training skills, identifying, and working on strengths and weaknesses.

Who’s involved and how is the matching done?
The INSPIRA team regularly receives applications from both mentees and mentors.
Applicants are asked about their motivations for participating in the program, the goals they hope to achieve, and the characteristics they seek in a mentor or mentee. Matches are made based on the analysis of these responses. The INSPIRA team then notifies the mentors and mentees during an initial ice-breaking session.
Each mentoring cycle lasts throughout the academic year and there are two main mentoring formats:
Individual mentoring: mentees engage in personalized mentoring sessions after arranging a convenient schedule with their mentors.
Group mentoring: these are organised as events open to everyone that may take the form of workshops, seminars, or discussion groups. These sessions cover various topics such as career strategic planning, negotiation, presentation skills, personal branding, and networking.
